In the new AXELA, itsdesign theme has been embodied through innovation of stamping technology realizing the characterR, accuracy assurance technology for high tensile strength steel sheet parts, and innovation ofquality assurance process that does not interrupt the flow of design and induces a sense of onenessof the whole car.1.はじめにグローバル競争が激しい中で存在感を示すために,One & Onlyのデザインが欠かせない。新型アクセラのボデー造りにおける課題のひとつが,マツダデザインの特徴である生命感あふれる面の造形を量産工程で安定的に実現することである。そのコア技術がプレス部品でのデザイン具現化技術と,プレス部品ならびに車体アセンブリの寸法精度をコントロールする技術である。特に,新型アクセラは全世界3つの工場で短期間に立ち上げる車種であり,現地で計画通り生産するための工程設計段階の検証が極めて重要となる。本稿では,新型アクセラで取り組んだボデー造り革新について,プレス領域から車体アセンブリ領域でのシミュレーションを使った検証技術の進化と,その結果を実際のクルマ造りへどう反映させたかを中心に紹介する。2.デザイン意匠を忠実に再現新型アクセラのデザインコンセプトは「瞬発/誘発」,よりエネルギッシュでテンションを効かせたリズミカル*1~3車体技術部Body Production Engineering Dept.―38―
