＊1 ボデー開発部 －59－ fooR fo oitaR0102110290028002600270025002400230021002200200029991799189916991599149912991399119910991 epyT 特集：ロードスターRF 11 No.34（2017） マツダ技報 三代目モデルより導入したリトラクタブルハードトップ（以下RHT）はロードスターのコンセプトに沿って開発し，軽量で開閉に伴う重心移動も最小，かつ，開閉時間も短く，気軽にオープンにできるシステムである。RHTモデルは販売台数の半数以上を占め，ロードスターのラインナップとして不可欠な存在となった。今回，RHTの刷新においては，先代の良さを正常進化させることを基本としながら，RHTのあるべき姿を描き，高い目標を掲げて開発に着手した。人の操作とシステムの動作が最適となるよう，ハード面から刷新し，加えて，ルーフ本来の機能であるクローズ時の静粛性と質感が大きく向上した。また，外観差別化のポイントであるファストバックスタイルのデザインはリンクの見直しやルーフ格納の効率化などによって実現した。 本稿では開発のねらいと経緯，実現手段について紹介する。 Summary 新型ロードスターRFの開発に着手した当時，2000年以降伸びていた他社RHTモデル群の販売比率が減少傾向に転じていた（Fig. 1）。これは，ソフトトップの性能が大幅に向上し，静粛性，外観，使い勝手においてハードトップと遜色ないレベルに達してきたことが要因とみられる。また，ルーフを格納するためにエクステリアデザインを犠牲にした車種はモデルチェンジで姿を消していく傾向も見受けられた。 要 約 松本 浩一＊1 Koichi MatsumotoロードスターRF リトラクタブルハードトップの開発 Body Development Dept. 100%80%60%40%20%0% Fig. 1 Market Analysis of Roof (Researched by Mazda) Softtop RHTThe Retractable Hard Top (hereinafter called RHT) was developed under the Mazda’s roadster concept and introduced to the 3rd generation roadster. The RHT is light weight, requires minimum shift in center of gravity and short time for opening/closing, which allows casual application of open roof. The RHT model accounted for more than a half of the overall roadster sales, making it an essential lineup. For the 4th generation roadster, the RHT was innovated with a high goal to realize the ideal status while proceeding the normal evolution of the positive points of the previous model. The motion of the system was improved to more fit with a person’s operation, and the quietness and quality feel when the roof is closed was significantly upgraded. The fastback-style, a key for the differentiation in appearance was realized by the revision of the linkwork and the efficient way of roof retraction.
