The second-generation Mazda MPV was newly equipped with the front wheel driving system and rear sliding doors, remodeled into a high-quality, stylish and insightful minivan. Mazda secured spacious interior and ample luggage space for all passengers to enjoy time spent travelling in the car. Another key feature was the new "KARAKURI Seat" system that enabled diverse seating arrangements; a left seat in the second row could be slid sideways, and the third seat could be tumbled under for complete stowage. When the car was parked, the seat could be rotated backwards to face other passengers.

For a long time, my dream was to buy and drive the Porter Van. Meeting with other fans and owners to celebrate the 50th anniversary is a wonderful memory that I will never forget.
Since I discovered the CX-8, I began to deeply appreciate Mazda’s manufacturing philosophy.
