In 2000, Mazda launched its very first SUV, the Mazda Tribute. In addition to securing off-road ability, Mazda paid attention to on-road ability and achieved confident driving powered by 3-liter V6 engine. To broadly communicate the new concept SUV offering new value such as sophisticated styling, Mazda collaborated with non-auto industries and artists for a series of marketing activities collectively called TRIBUTE link. The Tribute information and news were distributed via dedicated website, apparel, music CD and a film.
